First some SD news: Last week StartupDigest was acquired by Startup Weekend! StartupDigest will continue as before but as a non-profit organization. This is great news for the two organizations, both which are incredible drivers of spreading an entrepreneurial spirit globally.
Do you try to keep up to date on tech news? I can recommend signing up for the Launch ticker by Jason Calacanis. It gives you a summary of the most important (web) tech news with some comments by Jason. Between the ticker and techmeme I seldom read mainstream tech blogs/news.
There are two upcoming idea/startup competitions with cash money prizes. Telenor’s Digital Winners and Inven2′s Idéprisen. Both have only a short while until registration deadlines, so hurry up if you want a chance at free money.
