Forget the trashy pop melodies, garish outfits, sexually-ambiguous dancing and political drama of Eurovision. The number one show this May is the Grand Finale of the Nordic Startup Awards – and it’s happening right here in Norway.
Thursday 22 May is the day for your diary as the startup ecosystems of Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and Finland join us in Oslo for a celebration of all things startup.
In addition to the awards show there’ll be an unrivalled networking opportunity with the very best entrepreneurial brains from across Northern Europe – from bootstrapping founders to VCs with deep pockets.
With tickets starting at less than NOK 400, attending the Nordic Startup Awards is a no-brainer, as event CEO Kim Balle explains:
“The Nordic Startup Awards gathers the most influential and innovative players across the entire Nordic ecosystem: developers, investors, founders, writers, and everyone in between. That is a tremendous amount of talent under one roof! So the question to ask yourself is not “What’s in it for me?” but really “Can I really afford to miss out?”
Much like Eurovision, in-country winners are put forward for the Grand Finale, although in this case a jury of industry experts will select the winners. Norway’s nonimees are about to go to a public vote, so keep your eyes open and vote to ensure we send the most deserving to Oslo!
The awards up for grabs are:
- Best startup
- Best newcomer
- Founder of the year
- Best investor
- Developer hero
- Best service provider
- Best startup journalist
